Newell Outdoors The Calypso iSUP

The word Calypso is a form of West Indian music, originally from the island of Trinidad that has amazing rhythms and flow to the music.  Calypso music often evokes thoughts of swaying in a hammock with a nice beverage and a gentle warm breeze.  Our paddle board - The Calypso - was named after this amazing music because of the rhythms created in the water from the paddle and the board as both slice effortlessly through the water.  The Calypso is adorned with a “true to Caribbean sea” aqua marine green color on both the top and bottom and accented with red d-ring covers and a large EVA pad with a “red” plucked from the Pride of Barbados flower.  All of this comes together to form a simple yet striking paddle board that will look great out on the water.

As with all Newell Outdoor paddle boards, they come in one complete set that have everything you need to get out on the water and own the outdoors.  Newell's boards are well suited for lakes, rivers and even the ocean thanks to their best-in-class stability and speed; both well suited for the beginner to intermediate paddle boarders.  Each board ships with a kayak seat that easily attaches to convert your paddle board to a kayak.  

Purpose built, functional and well thought out are some of the adjectives that have been used to describe these boards and we didn’t disappoint this year either!  Staying with Newell's double-layered military grade PVC, they added a front carrying handle to the boards to make carrying them down to the water with your friend.

This year, Newell totally re-designed their backpacks to make them way more functional, way more spacious and much more comfortable on your shoulders.
